Privacy Policy

11+ Test Coach is designed so your family's data stays yours. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does — and, more importantly, what it doesn't do.

The short version

We do not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. In the app there are no accounts, no cloud sync, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. Everything the app knows lives only on your device. This website counts anonymous visits, and nothing else — see this website below.

What data the app stores — and where

• Child profiles (first name, optional age, chosen settings), learning progress (answers, scores, streaks, XP, mock test results), target school selections and reward goals are all stored locally on your iPhone or iPad, inside the app's own storage.
• None of this information ever leaves the device unless you choose to export it (see below).

What we don't do

• No online accounts — there is nothing to sign up for and no password to create.
• No third-party analytics, advertising SDKs or tracking technologies in the app.
• No transmission of your child's data to us or anyone else.
• No in-app links that take children out of the app — external links appear only in the PIN-protected Parent Mode.

Notifications

Practice reminders and reward notifications are local notifications, scheduled and delivered entirely on the device. They require your permission via the standard iOS prompt and can be switched off at any time in Parent Mode or iOS Settings.

No speech, no microphone

The app does not read anything aloud and does not use the microphone. Questions, hints, explanations and passages are there to be read by your child — reading them is part of what the exam tests. Nothing your child sees or answers is sent to a speech service, or to anyone else. If your child uses VoiceOver or Speak Screen, those are iOS accessibility features provided by Apple and run on the device.

Payments

Purchases, passes and the free trial are handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see or store your payment details, and no purchase information is linked to your child's profile or practice data. Apple's processing of your payment is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Backups and exports

Parent Mode lets you create backup files and PDF progress reports. These are generated on-device and are only ever shared if you choose to share them (for example by AirDrop, email or Files). They remain entirely under your control. Standard iCloud device backups made by iOS may include the app's data, governed by Apple's own privacy terms.

Children's privacy

The app is made for children preparing for the 11+, set up and supervised by a parent or guardian. Because the app collects and transmits nothing, there is no personal information about your child for us — or anyone else — to see. Anything parent-facing sits behind a PIN.

This website

The app and this website are separate things. 11testcoach.co.uk counts visits, so we can tell whether parents are finding it. It records the page you looked at, the country and browser you looked from, and the site that sent you here — as anonymous totals only. There are no cookies, nothing is stored on your device, you are not given an identifier, and you are not followed to other websites. The counting is done for us by Fathom Analytics, who process it inside the EU and never sell it.

This is about the website only. It tells us nothing about your child, their answers or their progress, none of which ever leaves your device.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app ever changes how data is handled, we will update this page and the policy inside the app before that version is released, and the app will always ask for any new permissions explicitly.
